The Jazzohorn

The Jazzohorn is a completely custom-made and one of a kind brass instrument. It was built for Ilya Serov by the legendary trumpet maker Andy Taylor of Taylor Trumpets in 2016. 

The name Jazzohorn was created by Ilya Serov.

This horn was inspired by Jazzophone (instrument created on 1920s and was based on the trumpet design). For this horn, Taylor and Serov took the flugelhorn as its base.
The idea was to create a trumpet/flugelhorn that would resemble the saxohpne. 

The first offical recording featuring the Jazzohorn was released in 2020. It was an original single “HEAT,” featuring platinum-selling, 10-time Grammy-nominated saxophone legend, Dave Koz.

 

That song went on to reach #13 on the  Billboard Top 30 jazz chart. Since then the Jazzohorn has been a huge part of Ilya's sound and the show. He used it on every album and virtually every live show.
